Rooibos There are 9 products.

There is cultivated in South-called "red tea" but that is not African tea plant. Its common name is Rooibos means red bush in Afrikaans because of its reddish stems and red-orange leaves that take in oxidizing. This is a plant that does not contain caffeine, which, however, is rich in tannins like tea. It was thus associated with the world of tea, not the tea because of its spicy and woody taste and its coppery color close to black tea. It is also traditionally eaten with a dash of milk and sugar sometimes locally.
Domestication is recent, dating only from the 1930s. This is a Russian, Benjamin Ginsberg, from a large family of tea importers, located in the Cape region, who discovered this plant which then grew in the wild and picked and consumed the local population infusion . Its infusion is very sweet and aromatic, it was very successful very quickly.
